How reviews work

1.Who can write a review

A few days after an order is delivered we email a private link. That link is tied to the order, so only the person who received the item can use it, and each item on the order can be reviewed once. Reviews are labeled “Verified purchase” because every one of them is.

2.No incentives

We do not offer store credit, discounts, free products, or entries into anything in exchange for a review, and we do not ask for positive reviews specifically. Under U.S. Federal Trade Commission rules, paid or incentivized reviews must be disclosed; we avoid the question by not having any.

3.No imported reviews

Many of our products are also sold elsewhere. We do not copy reviews from those sites, from suppliers, or from manufacturers onto our product pages. If a product has no reviews here yet, the page says so.

4.What we check before publishing

A person reads each review before it goes live, usually within two business days. We publish it unless it contains one of the following:

• Personal information, such as full names, phone numbers, or addresses.
• Links, promotional content, or content about a different product.
• Hate speech, threats, or obscene language.
• Content that is clearly not about the customer’s own experience with the item.

Star ratings and the tone of a review are never a reason to reject it. Reviews we reject are not counted in the rating.

5.How the rating is calculated

The number shown on a product page is the plain average of all published reviews for that product, rounded to one decimal place, and the count next to it is the number of published reviews. The “bought in the last 30 days” figure is the number of paid orders that included the product, and it is hidden when it is very small.
